Sweepstakes Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS SWEEPSTAKES. PURCHASE DOES NOT IMPROVE AN INDIVIDUAL'S CHANCE OF WINNING. THE FOLLOWING SWEEPSTAKES IS OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE U.S. ONLY, WHO MEET THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS (AS DEFINED IN THE RULES BELOW). VOID ELSEWHERE AND WHEREVER PROHIBITED.
Sweepstakes Sponsor: This Sweepstakes is sponsored and administered by SafeAmerica Credit Union.
How to Enter: SafeAmerica Credit Union Visa Platinum Rewards credit cardholders are automatically entered to receive one (1) entry to win with each credit card swipe they perform from July 1, 2021 through September 30, 2021. A minimum of 4 swipes per month in each of the promo period months (July, August, and September) is required to be eligible.
There are two (2) ways to enter the Sweepstakes. First, you may enter the Sweepstakes by using your SafeAmerica Credit Union Visa Platinum Rewards credit card. Alternatively, you may legibly print your name, address (including zip code), and home or mobile telephone number (including area code) on a 3” x 5” piece of paper or card and mail it in a #10 business envelope to SafeAmerica Credit Union, Attention: Marketing Department, 6001 Gibraltar Drive, Pleasanton, CA 94588. If a mailed-in entry form is drawn, but the Credit Union is unable to determine the winner because of illegible writing, that entry form will be disqualified. No copies or mechanical reproductions of a mail-in entry or metered mail will be accepted. Proof of mailing does not constitute proof of delivery/receipt. The Credit Union is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, damaged, postage-due, or illegible entries. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of the Credit Union and will not be acknowledged or returned.
Odds: Winners selected by random drawing. Odds of being selected as a winner depend on number of entries.
Promotion Period: Sweepstakes begins on July 1, 2021 and ends September 30, 2021. The Prize will be awarded by October 15, 2021. The sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
Eligibility: The sweepstakes is open to current SafeAmerica Credit Union members whose account is in good standing, and who are age 18 or older as of date of entry, with a valid driver’s license or state issued identification. Officials and employees of the Credit Union, its affiliates, related advertising and promotional agencies, and their immediate family members and members of the same household of such employees are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. By entering this Sweepstakes, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Credit Union. Sweepstakes void where prohibited by law.
Winner Selection: A random drawing will be held to select three (3) winners for the Grand Prize. Winner will be notified by phone no later than October 4, 2021. Any selected entrant that cannot be reached within 24 hours, to confirm he/she has been selected as a winner, after an initial phone call to the number listed on his/her account or entry, or who does not meet the eligibility requirements, or who is unable or unwilling to attend and participate in the presentation event will be disqualified. An alternate winner will then be randomly selected and notified per the procedures outlined above, time permitting.
Maximum of three (3) winners. No one may qualify or participate on behalf of another individual. Decisions of the Sweepstakes Administrator in the selection and designation of winner and all matters relating to this Sweepstakes are final.
Prize Awards & Delivery: Three (3) winners will be eligible to claim the Grand Prize, subject to approval and verification of compliance with these Official Rules. The Grand Prize for this Sweepstakes is a $500 Disney gift card. Winners can elect to receive $500 credited to the primary Share account as an alternative. Grand Prize winner must accept delivery of prize from Sponsor, or as otherwise instructed by Sponsor. All other costs related to prize delivery and acceptance is the responsibility of winner including but not limited to federal, state and local taxes. All properly claimed prizes will be awarded.
Additional Rules & Restrictions: By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to abide by and be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the Sweepstakes Administrator, which shall be final in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. In the event an entrant wins a prize, and is later found to be in violation of these rules he/she will be required to forfeit the prize or to reimburse Sponsor for the stated value of the prize if such violation is discovered after winner has used the prize. Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes permission for the Sponsor and its agencies to use winners’ names and/or likenesses for purposes of advertising and trade in any media worldwide without limitation or further compensation unless prohibited by law. False, fraudulent or deceptive entries or acts shall render entrants ineligible for any prize.
Tax Issues: The Credit Union will report all prize winnings to the appropriate state and federal agencies as required by applicable law. The winners are responsible for all tax consequences (if any) of the prizes.
Liability: Entrants agree to hold the Credit Union and its officers, directors, employees and representatives harmless from any liability arising from the participation in the Sweepstakes, the prizes themselves, or the acceptance, receipt, possession, or use/misuse of the prizes.
